FAQ’S

  • By the time of the party, we’ll already be married. We’re eloping in Italy at the beginning of August, just the two of us, and then coming home to celebrate with all of our favorite people in Austin.

    So while this isn’t a traditional wedding or formal ceremony, it is our wedding celebration. Think: celebration over ceremony – good music, cocktails, snacks, dancing, and a really joyful night with everyone we love.

  • Formal attire — elevated, chic, and celebration-worthy. August in Austin will be warm, so think breathable fabrics and polished summer formalwear. For men: suits or tuxedos encouraged. For women: midi or maxi dresses, elevated sets, and dressy evening looks. Think timeless, fashion-forward, and cool rather than overly traditional.

  • Please arrive on time so you can enjoy the full evening with us — cocktails and celebrations will begin promptly.

  • Absolutely. We’ll have passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and late-night bites throughout the evening. We won’t be serving a formal dinner, so we encourage guests to make a reservation beforehand and enjoy one of our favorite Austin restaurants listed here before the party.

  • Adults only, romantic, celebratory, a little moody, very fun. Think candlelight, good wine, great music, lots of dancing and all our favorite people in one room.

  • Probably not! If you’re staying centrally, Austin is very easy to navigate with Uber. We recommend ridesharing so everyone can fully enjoy the evening. If youre feeling spunky, adjust your Uber settings to request a Waymo.

  • Anywhere central is great, but we recommend staying at the Austin Proper Hotel, where the party will be held. Staying there also gives you easy access to the pool, where we’ll be hanging out during the day on Saturday.
